  NEWS FLASH…..

Alayi Kwenu!

Yes We Did It.

On June 17th 2006, over 40 Families of Alayi indigenes from all over North America gathered in Oakland, California, in the United States of America and officially launched “Alayi Development Union of North America, (ADU. N.A.)”. This was a dream come true and a date very historical in the life of Alayi people living in North America.

This occasion was very grand and I thank all the families who flew in from different parts of the country to grace, witness & support the formation of ADU. I immensely thank all the Alayi people living in Northern California for their dedication and resolve in planning & hosting this Event. To all our wives & other women, I say thanks for your hard work To those who were not present at this occasion, I know your heart is with us in this worthy cause. The Train Is Moving & Will Not Stop Until It Reaches Its Destination .. ALAYI..OUR HOME..THE GREAT HOME OF OUR ANCESTORS.

Resolutions from the Convention:
* It was agreed & adopted that the umbrella name shall be “Alayi Development Union of North America, (ADU)”.

* It was agreed to encourage Alayi People in other States/Zones to organize their own Local Chapters.

* Civic Center/Community Center/Hall project was agreed upon for a number of reasons to be embarked upon at this time.

* It was also agreed to encourage those who could not attend this inauguration due to certain circumstances to send their Free Will donations to: ADU, 276 Crestview Avenue, Martinez, CA 94553
